The Exercise

  1. Daily, set an alarm on your phone to write this into your journal.
  2. When the alarm goes off, I want you to notice all the ways in which you are connected.
    • For example, set your alarm to a really weird time you cannot quite associate with anything. I set mine to 11:33.
    • When the alarm goes off, I pause and write down everything that is physically holding me and connecting me. I wrote down: gravity, my shoes, shirt, my kitchen, a cup, a straw, fruit, plants, etc.

When you come to do your regular journaling, see how your sense of feeling connected and belonging change as you realize there is always energy we are constantly engaging with.

Write what you notice and feel as you continue to do this practice.
