When we move through grief, longing, and sometimes the depression that lingers in these fields, we often want to prescribe a diagnosis to receive a solution. It’s only human. Yet when I reach into the soul, the wisdom of my body, art, and the human experience, I’ve discovered that grief isn’t just what’s missing; it’s what’s asking for more space for a new journey.

What does ignoring your intuition actually feel like in the body? Not as an abstract idea, but as a lived moment when your nervous system says stop and your mind keeps going. Many people are taught to override their body in the name of growth, healing, or resilience. But intuition often speaks through physical signals—tight shoulders, shaking hands, tears that arrive before you understand why. This essay explores one of those moments and the question it left behind: what happens when we finally learn to listen to our intuition the first time?

PSA: I am no longer a vessel for your healing. This building isn’t for sale or occupation. I will not inhabit it anymore, ghosts. I will not execute your will. I will not release anymore of your generational suffering. I will not be a vessel for only transformation. I reclaim my autonomy in this lifetime. This is my body, and only what I create dwells here. I send my regards for all you went through. Thank you. But I will not be your servant, your maid, your mother any longer.

WHAT IS THE VICTIM MINDSET?
What is the victim mindset? It’s a belief or programming handed down to or modeled for us in society, our primary caretakers as a child, or even our current partners/friends.
Victim Mindset says:
“Everything is against me.”
“Nothing ever goes my way.”
“Why do bad things keep happening to me.”
“What have I done wrong?”
“What’s wrong with me?”
“Everyone is against me.”
“I cannot have/do ____.”
