I hope you enjoy this practice as much as I did creating it for you.
Yoga Nidra full moon in Leo, healing your inner child Video
P.S. You can watch the video below to see how I set up my “nest”, but sadly, due to commercial breaks out of my control, I no longer recommend meditations on youtube. I’ve included the audio here instead. Audio does take a moment to load; please be patient.
Yoga Nidra Full Moon in Leo Healing Your Inner Child Sankalpa
If you’re specifically working with the full moon in Leo or just your inner child finding a Sankalpla that fits you may start with some journaling questions such as:
- What unmet needs did you not receive as a child that you would like to give yourself as an adult now?
- What is something you’d like to say to your inner child that you wish your parents or main caregivers would have said to you if you could go back in time?
Some examples of a Sankalpa around these could be:
- I exist therefore I am loved
- I am worthy of love
- I am valuable
- I am enough
- I am safe
Try to stay away from negative words or “not” inside of a Sanklapa. The subconscious mind only works in the current tense. For example, turn “I’m not naughty” to “I am good.”
Setting Up Your Yoga Nidra Full Moon Nest
I personally love my bed, however for most people that leads to a Yoga Nidra Full Moon in Leo healing your inner child practice fully asleep. So, I recommend grabbing one or two yoga mats for the floor to find your spot to lay down. You will also need:
- A pillow for your head
- Pillow or bolster for under your knees
- Blanket or socks if you’d like
- A room or space without disruption
Making sure to find someplace where you won’t be interrupted for the full length of the practice (this one is 40 minutes long) is very important to make sure you don’t get pulled out mid-practice. Doing so can sometimes lead to headaches or feelings of malaise because you entered into such a deep state of rest. Being pulled out of the practice is similar to being woken up in the middle of a deep sleep.

If you work with crystals/smells or anything else feel free to add that to your practice too.
Go Gently Tip Be very mindful that your mind will come to associate the smells you’ve created with your experience inside this practice so I encourage you to be discerning and listen to your intuition about using smells. It can be powerful.
